More Artworks 2015

Since the classroom was now devoid of colours but we still had a few weeks before the school ended, we decided to do more art pieces to showcase our creative juices.

A Burst of Colours

A Garden of Bounty

The Button Tree

Off We Go!
It never fails to amaze me how much the children can share their ideas in making these art pieces. If I could make creating art pieces a living, I will retire immediately from teaching which is an irony since I need the students to create these pieces, lol! Have a great day!

Gardens By The Bay

I am lucky enough to get the chance to see one of Singapore's phenomenal additions to its diverse landscape. Aside from old and refurbished architecture, Singapore gives a strong adherence to the bounty of nature and for its conservation thus the construction of the Gardens By The Bay.

The immense location was formerly a flat land with a sparsity of trees here and there. This time, the entire place was teeming with environmentally friendly constructions and a huge treasury of plants from many continents.

Allow me to show you through photographs the vastness and the eloquence of its built.

A Parade of Purple

A visit to another country is not complete if I did not have a chance to walk through a garden and see one.  And in my walk at the Flower Dome, the colour purple, or most aptly called violet, brought forth elegance and brightness to rows of common pinks, yellows and reds.

The psychology of purple...

The colour purple supports the idea of meditation.

The purple is associated with the transformation of the soul.

The color purple is associated with the novelty and royalty.

An introspective colour, it allows us to be in touch of our deeper thoughts.

Purple keeps us grounded.

The colour purple is used for inspiration.

Purple has power, demanding a certain respect.

The colour purple is the colour of the imagination and spirituality.

Purple is ambitious and self-assured.

Variations of the colour purple or violet are lavender, mauve, lilac, amethyst, plum and deep purple.  The walk was a harmony of different shades that soothes the senses.  It was a good walk, no, a great one and a timely one.
Have a great week!

The child in me activated ...

The Nursery Rhymes Flora Display is an ongoing flower showcase found in the Flower Dome of the Gardens by the Bay. The Flower Dome is a marvellous addition to sanctuaries promoting diversity of plants and flowers from all over the world of reach to everyone's eyes. A must visit in Singapore, the Flower Dome is just one of the many highlights of the Gardens by the Bay
