Where the Road Leads

When we are given things in life, we do not know how to proceed. We either stop and stare, make small steps, or jump into the bandwagon. Whatever we do, it is still our own decision whether we will move on, go forward, or step back.

Some people are happy being alone while others cannot make do without someone around them. Some people struggle with their decisions whether work related or personal issues. Some give up easily for small things while others pushes themselves to their limits.

I am in many ways push myself so I can actually survive. When not so good things come, I try to study the situation with a clear mind though admittedly I am clouded by negative thoughts. Rather than carrying the burden, I try to focus on the now and let what is happening at that moment to momentarily freeze. Then I go back with my intention of solving my problems rather than dumping my issues to others or to myself. I seek but solutions. I thrive in freedom rather than breaks.

The road to success is not always a smooth ride. The driver in me knows that as a fact. So when things go crazy in my personal and professional lives, I slow down and sometimes, I stop and rest. I start driving again when my sanity is back, when the fog drifted, and when the sun dries up the rain.

  4. @ yccos,

It is for all especially now that we don't even stop to smell the roses. We are just so busy with our lives we go on without stopping. I miss the old days, feeling grandpa, lol!

It is your vacation, some rest will do you good but remember to still be productive.

  5. @ Rix,

Tama yan. We can't lead our lives through the dictates of others. We live because we wanted to and we survive because it is in our will.

Life is what you made it. Kung masipag eh di may aanihin. Kung tatamad tamad eh di walang makakain. Kung gustong mamasyal eh di magipon. Kung gustong gumastos, magtabi. Kung gustong mabuhay, huminga, lol!

  6. Hello ambot,

Kaya yan at kakayanin. Choices are made because we wanted to change our lives. If it is for the better, then that is good. Have a good rest of the week!

I need to live my life one day at a time. :)

  9. Thanks for this Cher Jo. I needed something like this. Life recently gave me a problem that is too overwhelming for me. That's why I'm currently struggling with my steps. I am getting exhausted from all of it. *sigh*

Sino bang blogger friend yan? *hehe*

  10. ayon nga sa matandang kasabihan:

do it slowly but surely, one step at a time lang... mas masarap makuha ang isang bagay na iyong pinakaaasam kung ito ay pinaghirapan mong paglaanan ng tamang panahon at oras.

  11. The road to success is kinda bumpy it really pisses me off. I easily give up. But I'm not sad anymore. I am full of hatred and contempt against life.

  12. The message fits me. So perfect!

We were born without a guidebook or a manual on how to navigate our life. We have parents but it's not them who will live for us. We drive and navigate it ourselves and along the way, we will learn when to stop, to slow down, or get out of the way.

    Hi, Jonathan.

  13. Hi Jep,

Overwhelming kasi ang buhay. Minsan walang dumarating but at this stage of your life, sunod sunod. You need to make decisions. You need to weigh things. One at a time. I do the same thing. With stressful situations, I need to find solace first, then think before acting. Hindi kaya ng multi tasking when it comes to solving problems.

  14. Hello Sep,

Just like me, we made a choice because we think it is for the best or we think we will be happier. Tapos kung hindi man nangyari, we need to rethink. Sometimes we work them out at nagiging positive naman ang kahihinatnan.

Hinay hinay lang, one at a time. Laging step back to look at the bigger picture bago kumilos. Cyber hugs here. Kaya mo yan, ikaw pa!

Kung bida man o kontrabida, nasasaatin yun.

Hanap ulit! Nawalan ng mahal sa buhay, it's not our loss. It's a learning experience. Babangon tayo dahil kaya.

  16. Hello Mr. Tripster,

I like living in peace which is still a goal.

  17. Hello Ms. Lili,

No guidebook, no written instructions. There are some of us where life is laid in red carpet but there are more who struggle with life. There are two things to look at things. One is to embrace the challenges and seek for change. The other is to see them and complain without action. I chose the first and hopefully, all will see them like how we see life. We fall, we stand up again. We fail, we learn from them. We make mistakes, we become stronger. And in love, we make the most being in love and experiencing its oddities.

  21. Hi Ms. Balut,

Unfortunately I have not been seeing my blogger friend visiting my blog though I get to chit chat with that person once in a while.

I am glad that this short piece is somehow relevant to many of us. And I know that as bloggers, we can be of help to each other, be it with simple words of encouragement or wisdom, or a hi and hello at FB.
