Landscape and Designs

Initial sketch/ plan

Most of my close friends know that I am an avid gardener and I can be found digging and planting every Sunday or during holidays. However, not everyone knows that I like sketching my garden whenever I needed to do renovations or to landscape them.

There are many points to consider when re-organizing the space. I look into consideration the area, its purpose, and the variation of plants I needed to make the space appealing. I am not knowledgeable of plants and flowers but I do manage to grow them. I am into heights so I usually make taller ones as background while sprawling flowering plants as foreground.

Just sharing one major project I did some time ago and will then post more of the redesigned spaces for future references.

Additional sketch for planning purposes

  1. Ayos po ah. Liked your sketches. I dunno about gardening yet but I think adding some lighting would add creative effects ([just my opinion] Pwede ba yon? pakialamero lang.;))! Seems you have this "green hands". :)

  2. Iba ang dating pag may lighting pero yan ang hindi ko alam. Baka makuryente ako. Sa kabilang side may ilaw pikturan ko. Thanks for the comment. :)

  4. Hindi. Mahilig lang mag sketch, mag paint, mag tanim. Mostly I am a gardener. I already helped friends landscape their places for free.

  14. Hi fiel,

Wow, sustainable development. Plan yan ng King of Thailand, to make each and every household self-sustainable. It is being practiced in many provinces.

  16. Kumusta Jonathan,

Wow, you have so many talents! A real renaissance man in terms of your ingenuity. Not surprising to me though that your artistic talents have influenced your gardening/landscaping, and vice-versa. You've done an awesome job with the landscape gardening. I also love landscaping too and nature in general, and I enjoy getting exercise by digging in the dirt and hauling rocks and such -- problem is, I don't really know what I'm doing and most of it is trial & error, ad lib "farming"!

I have the greatest of respect for teachers, and I see that you've done wonderful things with your students there. I am sure you will make a very positive life-long impression on them. As I'm sure you're aware, kids love little seedling plants... our daughter just brought home a little pine seedling from school for Earth Day.

Just discovered your blog yesterday and look forward to reading in depth and following. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog.

    Ingat!

  17. Hi Cyron - thanks, trying hard eh.

Hi Buzz - I do impart in my students love of nature so we always talk about the environment. In the last project we did, garden was incorporated to show sustainability and identity to the project. I will be posting a photo next time.
