I am no professional photographer but I do love taking photos of things that fascinate and interest me. On my previous walk at a nearby temple, there was an ongoing fair to attract well wishers and Buddhist revelers to visit and pay homage as well as to offer monetary contribution to the temple. The money is being raised to further build more religious shrines and places of worship.
It was the lights that lined the entire street that attracted me to stop and walk inside. The sprawling area was beautifully lighted with gigantic displays of lighted art. Take a walk with me.
Fantastic playing with lights and colours. Very liked and thanks for it!
ReplyDeleteThey really did spent a lot for these amazing work of art!
ReplyDeleteHindi naman masyadong nakakasilaw sir Jo?hehe
It has been a trend now where LED lights could beautifully light up all the tourist sites. This one you just shared is very huge and nice like a fairy land.
ReplyDeleteHi Miklos,
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was a very different experience too. Always with the old and traditional to something modern and flashy. Have a great day!
Hi Froi,
ReplyDeleteShine bright like a diamond! I was bedazzled by the lights which enticed me to go in. All I can think of was, sayang sa kuryente, ha,ha,ha!
Hi TM,
ReplyDeleteYes, like a fairyland minus the fairies, ha,ha,ha. There were so many stalls selling food and other things. It was really a worthwhile visit. People were queueing to pray and offer, looking for food to eat, buying stuff and others. I got two hand puppets for my teaching and my favourite things to eat, cotton candy!
I enjoyed walking with you. Beautiful bright temples! You should try to take photos of them!
ReplyDeleteHappy new week!!
Thanks Tomoko,
ReplyDeleteI have photos of them and would share still ones maybe next time. You could see how intricate they are. I probably should go on a less busy day to avoid the crowd. Happy a great week too!
Wow this is cool, and good thing that most lights today are LEDs, this saves energy and environmental friendly as well. An art like this, i think deserve to have a budget as big as that, but, if that's here in the Philippines, i would say no, esp we know that there's a lot of Filipino in the poverty status/
ReplyDeleteMaharlika ang renta lolz
ReplyDeleteHi Steve,
ReplyDeleteI didn't actually see anybody who seems to be wealthy walking the grounds of the temple but I might be wrong. Most of them are ordinary and simple looking people but still gives a lot to the temple. It's the principle of karma as one believes that doing good things at present will merit a better life in their next. And with the number of people visiting, I guess getting back that money is easy. I also believe that there are many who willingly donate big amounts but are not temple goers/ light seekers who roam there at night. :)
Oo nga Rix,
ReplyDeleteSana pinamigay na lang sa atin, ha,ha,ha!
I won't mind staying up late for a walk at that kind of place. Hahaha. #manangattack
ReplyDeleteI prefer these bright lights compared to fireworks.
Wow! though you aren't professional in photography Sir, your shots still looks fab as always! Amazing nga eh! Love to walk along those lights! hehe
ReplyDeletelove lots,

Hi yccos,
ReplyDeleteIt will be romantic, ha,ha,ha. Kidding aside, there were so many couples walking, sitting down and eating, or just watching other people aside from those who actually went to visit the temple. And there were many people every night.
Hi Cristine,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the compliments. If ever I get myself a really good camera, will make better angles so I can capture better pictures. Yes, it is amazing to walk and eat at the same time.
Ang ganda ng mga shots mo at binagayan pa ng background music :)
ReplyDeletePwede na gamitin yung mga pictures mo sa isang feature article, naks!
