While I gazed at flowers bountiful
With appreciation of nature's presence
I seek their beauty and peaceful stand
Of tint, calmness, and grace.
Walk the path of solid ground
Pebbles, rock and granite stones
Without a care then heavy steps
Trampled, broken but headstrong
Ignorance of what is small
That made its life from cracks abound
Becoming of being and vivacity
Charm, delight yet carefree.
The plight of small things would
Always be taken for granted
To recollect where life begins
Minute, a dot, but life a-beating.
I must say Jonathan, what a stunning header photo. Gorgeous flowers! From your garden/sanctuary I suppose? Now that's a silly question...
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I bought this small climber and was told that it was a "boran" (old) period plant and waited for a year for it to grow bigger. The wait was worth it as the plant blooms in three stages and the flowers last for almost two weeks.
ReplyDeleteI have another one, been waiting for it for three years now. I can see some blooms. Will post them later.
Thanks!
Again, great literature accompanying cool plants' fotos.
ReplyDeleteIt's like watching national geographic!
Again, I got the inspiration about things that are taken for granted from my wonderful collection of plants. There are just so many inspiring stories to tell just by looking at them.
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for dropping by!
Again, Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeletey'know... you really inspire me. what an amazing mind. I love fellow poets.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. I do appreciate your visit and hope to see you here again.
the greatest lessons can be found in the smallest of things, hence, they should not be taken for granted. big things starts with the small ones... :)
ReplyDeletehi there, jon. it's been awhile :)
And that we always see the magnificence of what is big but give less emphasis to the grandeur of the small ones.
ReplyDeleteYou've been gone for some time. I hope everything is okay for you, Lucas.

ReplyDeleteIt must be a poem, though short and not rhyming in a way, but it was one literary attempt.
Thanks, Thailand gives a bulk of attention and emphasis to sporting events. Benefiting from this would be the many youths interested in varied sports. My students alone both in school and special tutorials are all into swimming, soccer and mini-triathlons.
@Mac Callister
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the mere story behind your photograph, the one holding a rose. It's very different!
Yes, the photos are mine taken from my garden. I use the things around me to show the metaphors of living.
Many thanks for the compliments!
